With a sword, you can see and feel the edge of the blade along with the length and weight of the weapon.  Real swords are made up of three basic parts: the point which touches an opponent's body during battle, the edge, which is the point at which force is transferred from the arm to the opponent's body, and the blade which leads to the delivery of force.
