  A sword is a single-edged, blade weapon used primarily for cutting or thrusting. The term also refers to the weapon's hilt. Swords can be different in terms of shape and size as well as sharpness, depending on the type of sword and the culture it originates from as shown by ancient swords found all over Asia, Europe and Africa; dating back to 800 BC.   The Templars were founded in Jerusalem in 1118 by Hugh de Payns, a nobleman from Champagne, and eight other knights. The Templars were an influential military and economic force who challenged many of the rulers in Europe, but as they grew to power their own members questioned their morals.  The final blow to this order was when King Philip IV of France accused all members as heretics and forbade them to practice again.
