  A sword is a single-edged, blade weapon used primarily for cutting or thrusting. The term also refers to the weapon's hilt. Swords can be different in terms of shape and size as well as sharpness, depending on the type of sword and the culture it originates from as shown by ancient swords found all over Asia, Europe and Africa; dating back to 800 BC.   The Templars were founded in Jerusalem in 1118 by Hugh de Payns, a nobleman from Champagne, and eight other knights.
